Why is bone broth so good for dogs?
Bone broth isn’t just a tasty treat! It’s an easy and nourishing way to help keep your dog hydrated. Naturally rich in collagen, gelatin, and amino acids, bone broth also supports healthy joints and digestion.
You can serve bone broth on its own, add a splash to your dog’s water dish, or use as a meal topper to enhance flavor, moisture, and mealtime excitement. It’s especially helpful for picky eaters, senior dogs who prefer softer foods, or pups that don’t drink enough water.
Just make sure the broth you feed your dog is made for dogs. Our bone broths are crafted without onions, garlic, or added salt, all of which can be harmful to dogs.
How often can my dog have bone broth?
Your dog can enjoy bone broth daily or a few times a week, depending on their size, age, and activity level. Toppers and treats should only make up 10% (or less) of your dog’s daily calories!
Bone broth feeding tips:
- If your dog has never tried bone broth before, start with a few tablespoons and increase gradually.
- Use ¼ cup of broth per day for every 25 lbs. of body weight.
- When it’s hot out, you can freeze bone broth into cubes for a fun and hydrating snack!
- Always provide access to fresh water during and between mealtimes.
As always, if your dog has special dietary needs or health conditions, it’s best to check with your vet before giving them a new food.
