Adopting a pet is all about Unconditional Love—few people know that better than Stella & Chewy's founder Marie Moody. In 1997, Marie adopted a rescue dog named Stella from a local animal shelter, and quickly realized Stella needed a buddy: enter, Chewy! The trio quickly became inseparable, and just as quickly, Marie took the advice of a veterinarian and began feeding Chewy a raw diet to manage his health issues. Not only did Chewy make a full recovery, but both he and Stella thrived on their new food, leading Marie to pursue her passion for pet nutrition and start her own business – Stella & Chewy’s.
In loving memory of these two rescue pups who inspired it all, Stella & Chewy's gave away a YEAR'S WORTH of FREE pet food to a lucky rescue pet in our Unconditional Love Contest. We know rescue pets change our lives in the most incredible ways, and we want to hear your rescue’s story!
