If you spend any amount of time on the internet, you have likely read an article or two about the benefits of raw feeding.  Sure, the experts agree that raw feeding is good for dogs, but is there a single soul out there who doesn’t shudder at the idea of prepping even one more meal (we have enough trouble getting healthy meals on the table, let alone in the bowl.)  We’re with you, even with the best of intentions, the thought of planning and preparing raw meals feels a bit overwhelming to us.  With the desire to balance optimal health for our dogs with time and money to do so, we have spent most of the past year experimenting with various methods of raw feeding.  Today, we are very excited to tell you about our latest discovery – Stella & Chewy’s Meal Mixers.

A Little Raw Goes a Long Way

Monday, September 21st, 2015 at 12:31 pm

I am slowly transitioning Bentley and Pierre to a raw pet food diet.  I truly feel that it is better for their overall health.  I am still having a heard time putting raw store-bought meat into their bowls.  I know that it is perfectly fine for our pets, but after a lifetime of being told not to eat raw meat it still makes me uneasy.  Thankfully, there is Stella & Chewy’s Meal Mixers.

Mixin’ Up Meals With Stella & Chewy’s

The topic of what to feed your dog is extremely controversial.  You can feed your dog canned food, dry food, prepared cooked meals, raw, or any combination of these types.

At It’s Dog or Nothing, we believe that there is a place for all of the above feeding methods depending on your dog’s specific needs.  For Mauja and Atka, I always like to start with a base of premium-quality kibble.  However, I like to supplement their food to provide different nutrients, keep them interested, or simply to mix it up a bit.  That’s where Stella & Chewy’s comes into play.

Satisfy Your Raw Curiosity With Stella & Chewy’s Meal Mixers

Friday, September 11th, 2015 at 1:04 pm

Are you curious about starting your dog on a raw food diet?  When I adopted Cody 10 years ago nobody was talking about the subject, but since adding Bailey to our family last Christmas I’ve been noticing a lot of information about the benefits of going raw.  I’ve been wondering if raw pet food would be a good fit for my pups.  I was pretty sure adding raw ingredients wouldn’t be too hard for us because I already cook for my dogs in order to control Cody’s Inflammatory Bowel Disease.  Cooking lets me keep the ingredients in Cody’s food to the ones I know agree with his sensitive stomach, but I never took the leap to try a raw pet food diet until now when we had the opportunity to try Stella & Chewy’s Meal Mixers.
